FINALLY A GREAT HOST

We run a few ecommerce sites on the web and my husband is the one that usually takes care of the technical side of things. However, I want to learn more about it, and I've always found that I am better suited at learning when I just do something myself. We have been using several other webhosting companies for redundancy when I started looking around for another one and came across HostICan. When I started with HostICan, I realized that they make it so easy that I didn't really learn anything at all. However, that's probably for the best since I leave all the IT stuff up to him anyway.

I can't say enough good things about this company. It is because of them that I have renewed confidence and my technical abilities about my online profession. If you are thinking of hosting a website anywhere else, you owe it to yourself to consider HostICan and look at their options before going further. There are a few cheaper options out there, but you won’t get half of what you get at HostICan.

I recently moved to HostICan and I can safely say that I have not had any issues with them, I run a WP blog. I mean if your unable to move a simple blog, It means you should start reading online cause its not hard. The fact that you say its “hard” means that you need to learn as your site grows – you will have to install web apps (imagine that)…. But seriously… just do it and stop complaining… easy stuff once you know.

I have had HostICan service for a while now and I can say with 100% honesty that they have been great. I would never choose another host because HostIcan suits all of my needs. Support has been always quick to respond and very helpful at getting my needs met. If this was an ebay sell i would say “A+++ would do business again.” haha. I recently just moved to hostican because the other cheap site i was with (3ix) was down for over 24 hours and even erased my SQL database along with a bunch of other stuff! Luckily i had just backed it up a few days previous. I switched to hostican because they said they would transfer my site over. I signed up and signed up for the transfer and I an email from one of them saying since my site only has files (it’s a blog) that I should transfer it myself. I am no computer pro. But they didn’t stick with what they said they would do. So I’m not feeling very good about it. I used to be with liquid web for another site I had. They did it all for me. They were fantastic. I guess I should just pay the money and feel safe.

HOSTICAN LINUX HOSTING

In the last one year of hosting, I had never raised any complaints against my hosting company and I was always happy and satisfied. This is only because, I was using HostICan for Linux hosting for my review website.

INCREDIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE!!!

Support is always fast to respond. Support always listens to me and then provides solutions or assistance. I find that Hostican is proactive in their approach (not reactive like other companies). I also find that they tend to take a team approach, meaning us as clients are part of the team; I'm not treated as some nameless client with deep pockets. They are respectful. In summary, the 3 greatest strengths are: 1) Incredible customers service!!! 2) Service reliability. 3) Network/Server stability.

SWITCHNOW WORKED FLAWLESSLY

I switched from my old web host to HostiCan because I wanted to use ActiveCollab. I was also having some issues with the old hosts' uptime it seemed I was down at least twice a month and I just can't have that being a freelance web designer. HostICan has a feature called "SwitchNow" that transfers your site from one host to another and it worked flawlessly. Customer Support One of the many complaints I see when it comes to hosting providers is their lack of customer support. Well, I'm going to give HostICan a 100 out of 100 on this one. Everytime I've needed to speak with their support staff they've always been quick to respond, whether it be email or telephone, and extremely pleasant. These folks are just nice and know what they're doing. I was having an .htaccess issue and the gentleman that helped me ferreted out the problem within 5 emails in a matter of a half-hour. In my experience, you can't ask for much more. Speed and Downtime I've experienced one moment of downtime since being with them and it lasted all of 3 minutes. I'd say not bad considering that most downtime lasts much longer with other hosts I've had. I thought I was having another moment of downtime prior to that but my cats had actually put my modem on standby, so that was a false alarm. I haven't had the pleasure (or displeasure, however you want to look at it) of having been dugg, so I can't speak about their capacity for that experience. Though I did have a day where I had a comment that generated a lot of traffic (for my site anyway) and it held up just fine. As far as speed goes, I've actually experienced better speed with my site since switching hosts and I couldn't be happier about that. There's nothing I hate more than having slow load time of a page that isn't that large and I experienced that quite a bit with my old host. Overall Feelings About My Switch For the time I've been with HostICan I feel I've made a good decision and recommend them at this point to anyone looking for a host. I also feel good about the fact that I'm supporting a business within my community (well, sort of, they're located about 60 miles away from me). So if you're looking for a decent host with good customer service, check out HostICan.

Hello, I just recently opened an account with HostICan, and I had the tech support department move my site for me. First off I can’t believe how fast it was done. There was some little things that needed to be tweaked. Alexander Evans, was my primary contact throughout the day.First off let me say that so far I am extremely impressed with the quality of service I have received from your company. Next I would like to say how great Alexander was all day, every time he answered one of my questions, or fixed one of my problems, I always came back with something else. Each time I felt like the new client from hell. But EVERY SINGLE TIME, Alexander was there, answered my question, resolved my problems…

He went way above and beyond and the customer service was excellent. I can honestly say that I am so relieved I made the switch, and that HostIcan hires quality people like Alexander Evans.

So please, if your company does something for rewarding exceptional employees, please do what ever you can for him. He definitely deserves it.

VERY GOOD HOSTING

I serached a lot for a good hosting, having ready may sites with reviews etc on many hosting companies.Eventually I had shortlisted to a few and contacted each one to get some responses. I must say that HOSTICAN impressed me with their livechat online and I spent quite some time there with the people they had who answered all my questions and doubts and told me that it was an easy process to move the host etc…they even offered to move the files for free etc. I have kep all the conversation logs for anyone that might be interested. In all the conversations they were very clear that I lose nothing in trying as they had a 30 day money back guarantee….If I was not satisfied I could get a refund and not lose anything, specially as I was not going to use their offer for a free domain registration (I already owned the domain).
After convincing myself that it was time to sign up, I indicated the Hostican team my details to move the files from current host to their servers. All went smoothly until the moment came to change DNS settings and wait for the site to go online on the new servers of Hostican. The site would not come online due to some database problems and after much attempts by the livehelp staff they came to the conclusion that I needed a developer….that it was beyond their reach. This was on a week-end…so I changed the DNS settings back to the old host so that the site would be operational the next working day.
Since they wanted me to get a developer, I had no choice but cncel and ask for a refund, although I did tell them that if they could look at the matter with some time, I was willing to let them try to get the site working. But they gave up and refunded me the signup fee MINUS $40.00 which they say was for the file transfer they did for me (which was supposed to be free) and was contrary to all that the livehelp transcripts pointed at.
I was shocked at this attitude and complained, but to no avail.
The only thing I can say is to point this out to any future client to look-out and clarify better (I dont know how - I was very clear in my questions to them still I got ripped off).
It is a shame that the company had this attitude with me.
I hope that they make the info on their site a bit more specific to ensure that it says that file transfer costs 40 USD but they cn offer it to a client if the client stays and does not cancel within the 30 day guarantee period.

HOSTICAN - FAST SUPPORT AND GREAT SERVICE

I recently dumped my dedicated server I had with Layeredtech. One of the reason was that we weren't using it all that much and it was just eating our money, plus the recent slowdowns they been through. Still had 42 cpanel accounts there that needed to be moved. As I already had an account with Hostican I thought I should just put them there cause they fit. I asked if it's possible to move so many accounts and they said it was ok and I should just submit a ticket about it. Said and done, I submitted a ticket with the login data on the server and gave them the go�. A few minutes later I received a reply that they will get on it in a few minutes. It was late for me (about 11 PM) and decided not to stay until they finish so I just pointed the nameservers to the new reseller account and went to bed. In the morning I had a mail in my inbox saying that my accounts were successfully transferred. Looking by the time of the message, I think it took them a little more than 2 and a half hours. I went to modify the cpanel space quotas so I wouldn't��t be off after the move and checked some of the domains. I saw some domains wouldn't resolve after the move, but this is the problem with cpanel, sometimes it forgets stuff during a move, still it was nothing a 6 minute support ticket couldn't resolve :) It's been a week+ since the move and didn't noticed any downtime or other problems. This is another A+ from me to Hostican for fast support and great service.

Initially support was good and reliability was fair. Unlimited bandwidth and adult-ok hosting for a great price,
BUT...
6 weeks ago they nixed catch-all email fwding and didn't alert me. This affected me greatly, as I use random email addresses for transactional emails, so paypal and amazon and newegg have all been bouncing for 6 weeks.
Called no fewer than 20 times to get this resolved. the first 6, they answered and claimed to be working on it. after that, they just never answered.
